appropriate qualifications. This Masters
degree is intended to complement and
facilitate the career path of those who
wish to pursue professional careers in
the management of Information Technology
and associated resources.
Graduates will develop an applied
understanding of the theoretical and
technical concepts of Information
Technology, with relevant connections to
industry and the Australian Computer
Society. Graduates will bring sound
professional standards and ethics to the
work environment, together with the
ability to work effectively by
conceptualising imaginative and
innovative responses to emerging
challenges associated with the
development and operation of Information
Technology in an inter-cultural, global
and Internet-enabled environment.
The course consists of six information technology management units and two elective units. This course is available externally by distance learning for those who are not able to attend classes on campus. Access to the internet is required for distance learning, with access to high speed broadband highly recommended.
A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 80 credit points as detailed below. All units are valued at 10 credit points unless indicated.
